Upper E - Sherman Oaks (OLD)

Expect a few weeks to pass before any maintenance request is addressed. And expect to be treated like a nuisance when you contact them about it. Seriously, the worst place I've ever lived. And there's no pool. Don't know why apartments.com says there's a pool.

Maintenance is mostly unresponsive unless there is a leak. There have been 3 different property management companies since I've lived here. Some better or worse, but Its always the same result. There has been a pile of bulk trash in the parking lot for a month. The washing machines are broken into constantly. Cars are broken into often. They will tow your car for backing in. Packages are stolen. The exterior of the building is in serious need of renovation. The front office has many problems.... Renters Deserve better than what upper e will give us for the money we pay. Not the best area for children.
The "projects" are located about 2 minutes away, and the schools reflect that. The Lakewood schools zone cut off is on Swiss Ave. Area is riddled with homelessness, and prostitution, so you can't go into a convenient store around here, have to drive a few minutes up to Abrams. This particular complex has a few tenants (men) who like to drink in the gated parking lot on the weekends, so if you're a single woman you're pretty much held up in your apt. at night,... with deadbolt locked. Location is great, and convenient. Building and units are in desperate need of renovations. Alley way behind the complex is super sketchy at night. Cars are broken into because gate to trash dumpster is always left open on both sides. Not up to par with Lakewood prices, still managed with Old East Dallas conditions.
