Gardens on Walnut

First; I still live here and just renewed a 2nd lease here. Reading these other reviews are comical to me because they must be living in a different complex. There is no way that there are holes in the ceiling, water running from everywhere, black & brown water, and the wealth of other complaints. I have literally seen 2 roaches since I have lived here and zero bed bugs! That can be combatted with regular cleaning and use diatomaceous earth [all natural, no chemicals, and found at the feed… store] in the apartment on a regular basis.

Now let me tell you the truth on this place; we have a 2 bedroom all bills paid and a pet rent and pay approximately $1K a month. Nowhere else, you will find that. This place is pet friendly and offers my girl a pet yard to run in without a leash. There is a playground for the kiddos, several picnic tables, and we have a pool. Recently I have noticed security patrolling the parking lot; which is excellent. My husband and I both work and have never had issues with sleeping. Our neighbors work too and are respectful. In the entire time I have been here I have never had to call the police for noise complaints, and never had to report to the office for noise either. The kids like to be kids here. There is a lot of bike riding, cell phone watching, kids chattering and laughing, boys playing football or catch, and kids being kids. I have never had a window broken and have never had an issue with them.

I get along with my neighbors and consider this place a pretty cool place to live. I have seen it get better very recently in fact; I had to call around noon to call in a work order and when I got home at 5:30pm it was completed! I made it a point to stop by the office and thank the manager; because that was fast, and I appreciated her for that.

I have always told people living in apartments is what you make it; there will be noise, there will be kids, there will be wait time on maintenance. That is apartment living; live with it or move into a house ?? Read More
