Lack of Info prior to lease

Took several calls to a rude person but I eventually got in touch with the wife and paid and passed an application, but they would not provide a move in date (not even an estimated date)that a unit would be ready for move in, and absolutely no tour of empty unit. Still, they would not hold an apartment without a $500 deposit. Apt. renting rule No 1 - If the land lord has a take it or leave it attitude and won't provide factual information don't do it! No one has to be that desperate - keep... looking!
