Red River Ranch

I am a current tenant at this apartment complex. Move in day was May 1,2024. In April and was shown a model home. At that time due to having other bad experiences I asked the leasing agent Nadia if the actual apartment would be comparable. Everything working no bugs etc. 4 days prior to my move in date, after many issues and back and forth over my service animal, I came to the leasing office and paid all my rent and any other fees due. I asked if I could see the actual apartment since I... figured it should be ready for move in, and was told I could not because they were still working on it and had tools scattered. On the day of my move in I discovered the real reason. The building itself had issues with foundation and plumbing. The master bedroom and bathroom is unusable due to the severe sewage smell, since it is right under the apartment they leased me. Most days water is turned off from 9 - 6 and we are unable to take showers, brush teeth etc for work. Unable to do anything that has to do with water. Even flush the stool. I have asked several times when this would be completed and each time I am told about a week. Here it is now June 12, 2024 and still in a mess, living out of a suitcase and nothing unpacked. And jackhammers under my apartment going each and everyday, and I work at home. This apartment was not ready for someone to live in. On top of these issues, we have seen roaches. When we moved in garbage disposal, dishwasher and ice maker did not work. When I opened the freezer and touched the side of the refrigerator electricity shot thru my body. Those items were eventually fixed. I know that if I had been able to see the actual apartment I WOULD HAVE NEVER moved in. I am so dissapointed in them and there greed to lease an apartment like this and dissapointed in myself for trusting. I advised on June 10 I will not be paying another dime to them in rent. I realize this will put us in court but I am ready. I have been document and taking pictures. If I could only bottle the smell. On the day we moved in my movers could not believe the condition and smell of the apartment. They advised they would not live here. The pest control people and AT&T that has come out nearly throw up when they have to go to that area. But here we are. I hope this helps someone else make an informed decision to not move here. I currently stay here with my mom before going back to school and i love it . The pool is nice you can even rent it out for parties, baby showers, ect.. the maintenance always come the same day to fix things and i havent had problems with noise and the neighbors are friendly :) great place to stay
