Durham Heights

It is very beautiful property and good landscaping. Wow looks Amazing and plus with all the amenities it is terrific.

We have been living at the Durham Heights since June 2023 and have loved it here so far. We moved in while we were having our house renovated, but also to see if we would enjoy living in a smaller space - the Durham Heights has made that very easy. We are a family of 3, plus a dog, living in their 2+2+office, and it honestly works better for us than our 2500sq ft home did. The amenities are great (3 gyms, 2 pools, activity patios, dog park + dog spa, office space and common rooms) - and since... we live on the 1st floor, we use them all! It's winter now and we don't think about it as much - but the pool experience at this property, when it's warm outside, is top-notch. The maintenance team has been fantastic, fixing things within hours of putting in a maintenance request. I read some of the reviews on here and they feel nitpicky - for example, the garage door has been broken for some time, but the property hired a night guard until it is fixed, which in my opinion is a much safer option. We often spend time talking to the office staff and they are all super kind, friendly and helpful. Not to mention that the new manager Chavonne has gone above and beyond in her first few weeks, not just in trying to know the residents, but in hosting events and decorating for the holidays. The new office team has completely transformed my experience at Durham Heights; any question, maintenance request, or issue is handled with care and concern expediently. Additionally, Guillermo and his team have an immense amount of positive energy and make you feel like FAMILY any time you stop by the office. They throw amazing events that are thoughtful and fun, host giveaways literally every week and they always ensure the coffee bar is impeccably stocked.

And the maintenance team is second... to none! They’re incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and great to talk to on a personal level as well! I respect the care and hard work they do so much, and it speaks volumes about their importance to the transformation of this property. Everything is constantly broken: the “secure” garage door, weight room, AND pool have all been out of service within the past week yet they continue to charge “luxury” prices. When things are out of order there is zero communication on when they will be fixed. Cars are broken into or tires are stolen regularly. New management does a terrible job of doing the bare minimum upkeep. Dog poop stays in the hallway for weeks. There are never cleaning supplies in the workout room. The communal bathroom... is always out of toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. There is mold on the walls. Trash area is overflowing weekly. Please do yourself a favor and DON'T MOVE HERE! Cars are constantly broken into and left on cinderblocks. The elevator almost never works. Packages are constantly being stolen out of the mailroom and mgmt doesn't care. The management (past and new) are non-responsive, unsupportive and completely unhelpful. I have sent emails and made calls and get NO response. The power to the building has gone out several times. The fire alarm has gone off three times at 2 am since I moved in. There is MOLD... growing in the shower. I had roaches twice and I live on the 5th floor. Trash is constantly piled out the receptacle door. The keypad to enter the building from the garage keeps breaking causing a far walk to access the building. The guest pass for deliveries never works. The garage is not secure. The garage door was broken for months. Pay extra for a reserved parking space and have people park in it, constantly! Coffee machine is always broken/needing servicing. Management (former and NEW) don't care! I am a Catholic school educator and work hard to live in this "luxury" apartment yet, have NO respect from management and no courtesy of even the fake appearance of caring or trying to help.
