Apt was not move in ready
I moved into The Lodge at Spring Shadows about a month ago. The staff helped me find a unit that fit my needs, and the apartment is a good size and nicely updated for an older property. I am giving three stars because the unit was not ready for move-in and the number of problems has been frustrating.
I was told the unit would have hardwood flooring, but it had carpet. I only found out on move-in day because I was not allowed to see the unit earlier. After moving all my furniture in, I was told... the flooring would be replaced, so I had to move everything again while already living there.
The dryer that came with the unit also failed twice. It stopped mid-cycle both times, which left me with wet clothes for days while maintenance attempted repairs. After multiple visits, it was finally replaced. This should have been checked before I moved in.
Now there is a ceiling leak in my garage that has soaked the floor and makes it difficult to walk to my door without stepping in water. It appears to be a plumbing issue and may require opening the ceiling.
The resident portal has also been down for weeks, so submitting maintenance requests has been confusing.
The unit itself is fine, but the move-in preparation needs improvement. These issues should have been addressed before I arrived, not after.
