Great Location and Design, But Poor Resident Experience
The Ludlow is a modern and clean apartment complex. I moved in when the building had just finished construction, so everything was brand new and at first I genuinely loved living here. Unfortunately, things started changing as more people moved in. One experience that really made me uncomfortable happened when I was home alone one night. Someone knocked on my door unexpectedly, and when I looked through the peephole, I couldn’t see anything because the person was covering it with their finger.... They stayed there for a while, and once they moved their finger, I saw a young man giggling outside my door. I told him I was going to call the police, and he immediately ran away. I reported the incident to management, but they couldn’t really help because there are no cameras in the hallways, so I never found out who it was. That situation honestly made me feel unsafe. More recently, the biggest issue has been noise from my neighbors. It honestly feels like too many people are living in that unit, or they are throwing parties almost every night. During the day it’s manageable, but late at night they play loud music, laugh, yell, and keep making noise to the point where I cannot sleep. This past weekend they stayed awake until morning being extremely loud. I reported it multiple times, but management only said they would “warn them,” and I honestly don’t think anything was done because nothing changed. They also told me to contact the courtesy officer, but when I called, it went straight to voicemail and nobody ever followed up. The walls here are also extremely thin, you can hear neighbors talking through them. On top of that, the hallways and parking garage frequently smell like marijuana, which I’ve also reported, but again, nothing seems to be addressed. It’s honestly unfortunate because I truly loved living here at first. But now I feel ignored whenever I bring up concerns, and it seems like management does not really take residents’ experiences seriously. Right now, as I’m writing this, it’s 2:15 AM on a Friday night and my neighbors are still making noise and I can't sleep. I just wanted to share my honest experience, and because of the ongoing disturbances and lack of effective response from management, I would seriously think twice before renewing my lease.
