Be CAREFUL where you move
If you are considering moving to Melia, I really encourage you to weigh out all of your other options first. They will tour you in their nicest apartment and then hand you a unit with nothing but problems and empty promises when it comes to solving the issues.
I moved in to a unit that was not prepared for me at all. Missing parts to critical appliances, leaking tub, sinks that won't drain, spider webs everywhere, bugs crawling/flying, dried paint on the floors, musty carpet. They will tell you... to submit work orders for maintenance, which will never come unless you bug them call/email nonstop. They showed up to fix the tub, even left a note saying that they came to fix it - and to my bewilderment, I see the tub still leaking. It's been 2 weeks and they still have not resolved any of my issues that I made known at move-in.
My dishwasher doesn't have racks. The tub leaks a huge amount of water. When I call the office, they tell me everything will be resolved, and then nothing happens for days and days. Just understand they will never actually follow-through.
I urge you to really consider deeply - do you want to move into apartments that you genuinely cannot rely on? It's been an absolute disaster already and I'm only 2 weeks into a year long lease. Brace yourselves.
