I have honestly experienced several issues during my time living in this community. Unfortunately, I often feel that when problems arise, my concerns are not heard or taken seriously. I also do not appreciate the aggressive “lease violation” emails regarding trash. I work long shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and because of the risk of violating the policy by putting trash out too early, I frequently end up taking my trash directly to the dumpster myself. While that wouldn’t necessarily be an issue... , the dumpster is not located close to my building, which makes it inconvenient.
I also don’t feel the complex was adequately prepared for power outages, particularly regarding access to the gates and breezeways. Additionally, I ran into issues when I went out of town and needed a dog sitter. I was told I could not create a guest code for them to access the building, which caused unnecessary stress during my trip. I had to keep my phone with me at all times to let them in, which significantly disrupted my vacation.
Receiving packages has also been difficult. It is nearly impossible for delivery drivers to access the building after hours, which has resulted in delayed packages and even phone calls from drivers in the middle of the night. On multiple occasions, Amazon packages have also been left on the floor in the mail room rather than being properly secured.
Another concern is the location of the dog park. Having the dog park located outside of the complex next to a busy street does not feel safe for residents or their pets.
Overall, the one positive takeaway from living here is that it has helped me learn what questions I need to ask before choosing my next place to live.
