Review of The View at the Crown Ridge

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel it’s necessary to share my experience so that anyone considering living here has all the information and can make an informed decision.

Unfortunately, I have had several negative experiences during my stay:

1. Maintenance and repairs:
    •    In January, due to low temperatures, a pipe on my balcony burst, causing damage to the storage room. To stop the leak, they cut two holes in the ceiling. Since then, I have... been contacting them by phone and email, but the promised repairs have never been completed. As a result, the storage room has been full of moisture for over a month, and many of my belongings have been damaged. I am paying for a space that I have not been able to use, and to this day I have not received any solution.
    •    Other minor issues, such as a burnt-out light bulb, took over a month to be fixed.

2. Apartment condition upon move-in:
    •    I signed my lease more than four weeks in advance, and even so, when I received the keys, I found the apartment very dirty and with several broken items.

3. Safety and privacy:
    •    Staff members have entered my apartment multiple times without prior notice; I know this because I have cameras installed. What’s worse is that they leave the place dirty and disorganized (I have attached a photo of my white couch at the end).

    •    The gates frequently do not work properly, so they remain open and anyone can enter.

4. Services and amenities:
    •    The building’s pool has been under repair for over a year, and no resident has been able to use it.
    •    Internet service is limited to an agreement with AT&T, with no option to choose a more affordable provider or one with better plans.

In summary, everything related to maintenance, security, and customer service is very deficient, and these problems have been occurring for about a year they are not recent.

My recommendation:
If you are considering renting at The View at the Crown Ridge, my advice would be NO. If you are looking for peace of mind and comfort, this is not a good option. I hope my review helps others make a better decision. Read More

RUN!!!!! My experience with Manager Rosalee has been absolutely horrible. I was charged almost $6000 to move out early including two months of full rent and over $2000 for early termination. Mind you I was relocated for work to Austin and attempted to rent at a sister property. When I attempted to do this I was told by Rosalee that I would have to still give a 30 day notice and thus pay double rent. The sister properties manager in Leander, Texas was accommodating and easy to work with by the... way. In addition, I was not told that when I turned in my apartment key, I was also expected to turn in two rubber pool bands that look like they were purchased for a penny each. I was told it was $75 to replace each one. When I received my last invoice, I noticed that 4 pool bands were on my bill when only two were issued and two people were living in my apartment. Moved in February, and we absolutely love this place! The pool is freakin awesome and it's in a perfect location. If we want to go out to eat at The Rim, it's 2 miles up the road. If we want to go shopping at The Shops at La Cantera, it's 2 miles up the road. Everything we need is close by, but not right up on top of us. We get to live in a brand new complex in the nicest part of San Antonio, but not have to deal with the traffic and construction on I-10 and 1604. My apartment is facing the most beautiful trees and nature. The clubhouse, pool and gym are to die for. Friendly neighbors and the office always has fresh cookies and welcoming smiles. I love my home and anyone else who moves in, will too. :)

Starting out as a gorgeous view and quartz countertops, the nice things quickly get overshadowed by its poor upkeep. There is always trash in the apartment breezeways and large pieces outside of the dumpsters as it never seems to be emptied often enough. The grass is cut way too infrequently and no one cleans up after their pets. It wouldn’t be too much of a problem if there was enough grass to actually own a dog here. The clubhouse is nice, but don’t be fooled by the premise of free WiFi there.... It seems like the router is in a shed out back because you won’t get signal. Inside the apartments, the kitchen appliances are nice, but the washer/ dryer is low quality and super loud. The staff is hit or miss but seems to be trying harder.
