Verandas at Shavano

A lot of management changes over the last / years. Previous mgrs SUCKED. The newest ones are absolutely FABULOUS. Kind, responsive, helpful; Tanya alone might be restoring my faith in humanity! Repairs/manintance on the property is resuming and the pool is actually being taken care of. Thank you Verandas staff, keep up the good work!!

On this past Sunday, I went to one of my storage units, to get 3 long hoses as to try and help out with the water situation. Once at the storage unit, I realized that all my things were gone except for some things I recognize including an utility dolly. I mentioned it to the property manager on Monday, but of course... nothing got done. Today I went personally to the office and asked about the situation, they insisted that i was not being charged on it, and most likely got cleared on the audit… that they conducted. The only audit that has been on record is on January,2020 and my units were not included in the list. I mentioned the dolly, and let them know I want to talk more about it later. An hour later, I take a visit to the unit, use my key on the storage, and surprise... dolly is gone, but not completely gone as i see it in the maintenance bay, just sitting there. I ask management if they are sure this is not being used by maintenance, and reply with a nervous no, I wait around 6:30 pm, and surprise, they changed the lock... My roommates stuff is gone, and my stuff is gone... probably split among them, so check your units, maybe your stuff is gone too. Now you might say, well it got rented out, well they rented out a unit with only one key, not knowing who had the other key... highly doubt it. They say crime does not know zip code, but... this place is the exception
Not only that but getting anything done is horrible maintenance and management take forever to respond or to take action, during the past freeze they decided to shut everyone's water just cause one or two units in a building will have water damage, instead of shutting them individually. They told us to keep our faucets open, but the units they had vacant kept the faucets shut cause they did not bother to try and open them.
There are dog parks which is nice but they are so poorly kept and management cares so little about them that the dog park was the only place they didn't shut the water off. They had one sprinkler which erodes the ground continuously and serves no purpose, when I asked what was the point of having it, they lied to me saying "its for the trees" one sprinkler... for a huge park full of trees, must have a new breakthrough in gardening.
In all, the best part of this place is the people, that's the one start for, everything else just avoid it like the plague, not worth your time or money. Read More

I lived here and unfortunately had to terminate my lease due to personal reasons. during this time, management was so helpful and kind. They went out of their way to see what they could do to help me in this situation. They were so welcoming and caring during this time. The people who are currently in management know what they are doing and go above and beyond for each resident. This is a great place to live.

The apartments and property are well kept...beautiful place
