Don't recommend
I lived here for a couple years and got off on the wrong foot right from the start.
- On the day I moved in, they informed me I couldn't move in until the afternoon due to a cleaning lady being in the apartment cleaning. Well, I was there and no cleaning lady was there. I ended up cleaning the whole place myself before anything could move in.
- I was told my apartment would have compatibility with a window AC-unit as the building doesn't have any central air. Well, no windows were... compatible - as in no windows could even be opened aside from one that was such that an AC unit couldn't fit in it. So summers were god awful and horrible to get through. There is a swamp cooler, but management often forgets to turn it on and it only does so much.
- I spent my first winter there without any heat, despite me contacting the main office often asking for help to fix my radiator.
- For roughly 4-6 months, we had very bad issues with water - at first the water pressure was just low. Then there was no heat. Then there wasn't any water running in the building at all. We made complaints, but management ignored calls and emails. Finally, I contacted the building code department and they sent a man out to assess the situation. He threatened them with fines due to the state of the building. The water issues were still occurring (but less often) when I left the apartment some months later.
- Maintenance requests were often ignored. I had requests made in February that were ignored all the way through June.
I was just dying to move as soon as I could
All in all, I would not recommend this building unless you can live without comforts and are on a tight budget.
