Do not move here
If you are considering moving to Duke Grace Apartments in Norfolk, VA, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.
This property feels more focused on collecting rent than actually creating a quality living experience or contributing positively to the community. Communication is consistently poor, and there is never anyone on site to properly handle tenant concerns or resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Maintenance issues are handled with quick patch jobs instead of real... solutions, and the appliances are cheap and unreliable. When problems arise, they send unqualified handymen to temporarily fix issues rather than properly addressing them. For the amount residents are paying in rent, the level of professionalism and upkeep is unacceptable.
To make matters worse, only one elevator is consistently working, which becomes a major inconvenience for residents in the building.
On top of that, the treatment of tenants often feels dismissive and at times racially biased, which makes an already frustrating experience even worse.
There is little accountability, terrible communication, and overall poor business practices. The pricing does not match the quality of service, maintenance, or management you receive.
I would not recommend living here at all. Save yourself the stress and invest your money somewhere with professional management, responsive staff, and actual respect for tenants.
