My mother lived her for four years. In that time, her air conditioner broke numerous times and maintenance seemed completely incapable of fixing it. There were continuous leaks, it would be out for several days at a time, and it was never fully repaired. There was water running over the electrical panel at one point.

Look elsewhere
I’ve been renting here for 6 months and it continues to disappoint. The property is over 25 years old. Everything is falling apart. For example, I have had at least 15 service calls for heating and cooling. It doesn’t heat in the winter past 62, I was told to turn on the fireplace as the workaround. It doesn’t cool in the summer below 80. Management supplied two window units and plenty of excuses. Now all three AC units run constantly to keep it at 77. Again, no solutions, just excuses. ... They’d say, it’s unusually hot this summer, your apartment is larger than others. This place started off disappointing and kept up unfortunate reputation. I would look elsewhere.

A great place go live
We moved out of state and chose this place because it had a garage and was pet-friendly. I am so happy we ended up here. I can walk to Target and Publix if I feel like it but it's quiet and safe. The neighbors are great. Maintenance and office staff are great. I can't say enough good things!

WE LOVE LIVING HERE!!
We have been in a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath at Monticello at Powhatan for several months now and absolutely LOVE it! The layout is just what we needed. The office staff is so friendly and helpful and the community is perfect. We have wonderful neighbors and we walk our dogs daily throughout the beautiful community! The amenities are top notch too. I HIGHLY recommend this community. It is so central to everything as well!

More like a Home than an Apartment
Wonderful community! I have been here since January 2020. Not your typical "Apartment Complex". You're not going up flights of steps and down long hallways to get to your front door. You have your own entrance coming in from the great outdoors and SO much space. Would give 10 stars if I could.
