I am a widow after 47 years of marriage. My husband was very sick for about 12 years. We lived in an apartment for a few years and he wanted me to make friends so that when he was gone I would not be alone and become a recluse.

Now I live at this wonderful apartment and it is warm and beautiful. Out my windows I look at a huge tree and park like setting. My cat sits in the window for hours making the funniest sounds you could imagine. There are birds and squirrels out there.

I have a 2... bedroom, 1 bathroom and a nice size kitchen with a big walk in pantry. I have a large alcove in my bathroom and plenty of room for storage.

I live on the second floor and I have never heard anyone upstairs or downstairs. Very quiet. The Manager and the Assistant Manager are very nice and treat us all so good. The Assistant live here also so that is nice. Also have a great handyman that comes almost as soon as you call and is very friendly.

There is a large community room with tables and chairs everywhere. Looks like an elegant dining place. There is a great library with room to sit and read if you would like. There are activities all the time and they are always posted by the elevators. There are planned trips to go shopping, eating out and just enjoying life. There is a van that does all of this. There are games including cards, wii bowling, etc. There is a large TV where people watch special football games (Go Seahawks), and baseball (Go Mariners). Monthly calendars are put outside all elevators, listing all activities for that month. Also a newsletter and a list of Birthday's for present month. There are special days where different foods are served to everyone including chilli dogs, or Birthday cakes, soup day, etc. We have an Avon lady here and her schedule is also on calendar. Swan's comes here twice a month and Safeway delivers whenever anyone wants to place orders. Coming in a couple of months is a craft fair for all the people to set up booths and sale their wares.

There also is a beautiful lobby with plants, mail boxes, etc. This is a secure complex and I really do feel very safe. There is a gazebo for people to go smoke and that is the only place they can smoke. not in apartments. I love the courtyard in the center of grounds. Tables (with umbrella's), chairs and places that people can plant a garden or grow vegetables.

I can't tell you enough about being happy in my home and hope to live many more years here.
