Non existent property management
HORRIBLE new management with lack of any respect to current residents. Non-existent resident relations: call their office, I dare you, see if you can get a response. You won’t. God forbid there’s an emergency, because you will have to figure it out on your own

Quiet and Convenient
The Canvas team are polite and personable, always willing to help and care about the property. The property is well maintained, clean, and secure. Animal friendly property with comfortable amenities. Love the washer/dryer/dishwasher in the unit! Great place to call home :)

Deposit
Apartments seem nice, are in a great location, etc. My issue is with the administrative side.
I applied to this apartment but my circumstances changed and I ended up not signing the lease or moving in. I emailed the management team to let them know I wasn't able to move in as soon as I knew. Apparently they never got it because they changed management companies and didn't bother forwarding emails from their old email addresses to the new one.
I reached out several more times and they finally... got back to me this morning and told me that my "refundable" holding deposit will not be refunded to me. I knew I wouldn't get my application fee back (obviously) but I specifically asked when applying if the holding deposit would be returned if I wasn't able to move in for any reason and was told "yes" by Kyrtin who works at Canvas. I don't believe that them keeping my refundable deposit is legal; I never agreed to these terms so I will be finding out my rights before taking next steps.
If Canvas refunds my deposit, I'll update my review with that info.
