Jack Apartments

I am the first person to have moved into these apartments when they opened July 1, 2016 as Modera Capital Hill and have seen all the changes throughout the years. They opened as a beautiful modern facility in a prime Capital Hill location with great amenities. However, prior to this year's sudden sale by Mill Creek, the original Ultra Management Staff was replaced with a set of mannequins that felt more like a temp service than actual management. The building went down rather quickly. As a… result, the current Thrive Management Team inherited an uphill battle due the months of noticeable neglect.

Now as a Thrive Community for the past few months, the current manager Sanaz has proven equal to said task and has been extremely proactive with her efforts in the most important aspects of managing a building; safety, cleanliness and maintenance. She has taken the time and effort to learn the challenges presented by residents and their lovely dogs, the neighborhood, and municipalities and is quick to address these concerns through community newsletters, directly when warranted, and then follows through until a full and equitable resolution is found. Some specific concerns addressed include the simplification of how recycle and trash are handled, responsible pet owner behaviors, and security during yearly high level neighborhood events such as block parties & Pride. Most recently she provided an upgrade with the installation of the Luxer One Package Locker that allows all packages to remain safe until picked up. Prior to, packages were everywhere as Amazon delivers here 24/7. All of this has proven most effective in maintain residential peace of mind. One person noted a concern regarding the elevators being hit and miss, but that has actually been an ongoing concern since the building opened in 2016 and has since leveled out significantly. That being said, I also attribute any maintenance concerns to the management team in place and am satisfied there as well.

As far as $$$ is concerned, I feel we all know and accept any pricing when we sign on the dotted line so I won't bother with that.

All and all, I am satisfied with my experience here and hope to keep Jack Apartments as my home for a long time to come. Read More
