I don’t even know where to begin about this place. I lived here for about 7 months and ended up having to terminate my lease early. In the middle of February, the same week snowmageaddon happened, I had to move out because water started coming up through my floor boards and also from my ceiling. This place appears nice at first but it is a facade. Prior to the water, we would constantly have things falling apart for example we had an entire light fixture fall off of the cabinets and a cabinet… door fall off. Kevin is the leasing agent that is there most often; he is really nice and tries to be helpful but ultimately he doesn’t have much pull to help when it comes to negotiating apartment rates which is my next complaint about this company. So back to when had to move out- as a result of the water (that had been a problem for a few weeks before anything was done), we had to move out. After multiple conversations and emailing back and forth they finally offered us another two bedroom in the apartment which sounded good at first, however, one of rooms in this alternate apartment would have barely fit a double bed, if even that. After looking at the alternate apartment we asked if it was possible to get two one bedrooms because basically they were trying to pass off a one bedroom with a den as a two bedroom. The said yes to the two one bedrooms but we would have to pay more; it was going to end up costing us around $400 more a month per person. I am a teacher so I can’t exactly just pick up an extra shift and get paid more to cover the extra costs...Ultimately I just asked to get out of my lease but it was such a pain just coming to an agreement to get out of my lease and dealing with this apartment company. It ended up costing them more to put me up in a hotel(which they originally refused to do until water started coming through our ceiling) and to pay for movers and refund me for the second half of February than it would have cost them to just give me the rental rate I asked them for, for the one bedroom for the remainder of my lease which was only three more months. If I were you, I would avoid this apartment and all the issues you’ll run into trying to rent here. They clearly care more about getting as much money out of you as they can rather than their reputation for being an decent housing agency.
