When we were searching for a place to live, the tour they gave was around an updated apartment. It looked nice, and we liked the layout. We opted for a "classic" layout, instead, since it was slightly cheaper - this is where the problems began. It was advertised as being the same thing, but with carpet in the bedrooms, different countertops and cabinets.
When we got here, though, the apartment looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years, with crust and deposits building up in the bathroom,... broken essential appliances (including the fridge and clothes dryer), and what looks like water damage that was painted over in the kitchen. Parking is awful - there are hardly any spots that you don't have to pay an extra $45/month for, and those that you can choose to pay for are all taken. If you have a unit on the back side of the complex, expect to park far and walk home every night.
It took a week to get a new fridge, the dryer still doesn't dry clothes on the first cycle (even after two maintenance calls), and someone spat on my car/rubbed dirt around on the hood while it was parked in the complex.
The price was enough to get us in the door, but we're not impressed with living here so far.
