Location is great. Apartment is average/below average. property owner (katz) and management are terrible.
1. location is great. Near lake, downtown, grocery, etc.
2. apartments are recently renovated for looks. what I mean is the kitchen has new cabinets and appliances. New flooring. All cheap made to look good. Bathroom walls still bleed yellow. So I'm confident they make the cheapest repairs/upgrades they can. Great for someone that doesn't really care, like a college student.
3. Mold was an issue.
4. Cockroaches were an issue.
5. Took 8 months to get my deposit back because it "got lost in the... mail, and we're waiting for it to return to sender." Had to file with BBB and threaten with a lawyer.
6. Rent was a little high for the crappyness of the apartment. I needed a place fast, so this had to work.
In short, if you know your in it for a short lease and know your going to commit to that lease, it's fine. Just know if you need to break your lease or want a clean building, not for you.
