Great design, not great maintenance
I love the way my apartment looks (though I could use a larger kitchen). It has plaster walls and a nice large living room plus a sun room. It has windows in every room. It has hardwood floors. On looks, the apartment is a 4.5 stars.
It also has carpenter ants. One year, it had such bad leakage in the roof that part of my ceiling fell in and a raccoon kit fell through the hole. I moved across the hallway, and the following year I could see raccoons climbing the tree outside my window to... get into the attic space. I complained but was told that the roof had been fixed, so there was no problem. (However, this year I have not seen or heard raccoons.) On caretaking for the building, I'd give it 2 stars.
