Great Apartment, Not So Great Location
When I first started looking for apartments, I never wanted a studio. However, a "Studio with a Den"? That blew my mind; our apartment is basically a one bedroom with a $50 discount. The apartment has a lot of room, small kitchen (but includes a dishwasher), and we only have to share the washer and dryer with 2 other tenants (there's 3 tenants to a floor).
The location isn't the best; the apartment is in the Spenard area which is great if you love to go to Bears Tooth, but there is a lot of... strange people around this area. There are a lot of homeless people, and some iffy people; I would never go walking alone at night.
We've also had someone break into my boyfriend's car, smashing in his passenger window at one point. (There is parking at the building, but only one car per apartment)
So if you're looking for affordable, I would recommend looking here. But if you want a great neighborhood, I would look somewhere else.
