Vandalism, Harassment, Incompetence
Do not rent here if you value your safety, security, and personal property. In May 2023, someone began vandalizing my brand new car. I would walk out to liquid splashed all over my car, scratches all over, fist-sized rocks behind the giant HOLE in my grille, and the radiator bent. I notified the office every time something happened and nothing was ever done. This continued almost monthly. I finally contacted IDM management and they installed a camera out front. After one month, the camera was... removed to "review footage" but it was never replaced and the vandalism began again. When I called to request the camera be replaced, they informed me that the camera was in a different area to monitor for residents not picking up after pets. After more complaining and more incidents, the camera was eventually replaced however the vandal continued to throw drinks and chunky liquids onto my car. The office said the camera didn't catch anything. The camera was never replaced and they made no effort to catch who was doing it, even though everyone knew it was the resident who lived on the floor below me. He would pound on the ceiling any time I pulled a chair out or if I didn't tiptoe around. He even opened his door as I walked by and stared me down in a threatening way. But the office couldn't do anything "without proof." I paid rent just like everyone else. However I was punished both emotionally and financially just for living at this complex. Mia, the assistant manager, was the only person who seemed to be empathetic and understanding. Alexis took over as property manager towards the end and at first she was helpful. However, when it kept happening and I kept complaining, she made it seem like I was just bothering her. She said "there's no proof and no one has seen anything, so what do you want me to do." I dreaded walking out to my car because I knew it would keep happening. I took the long way down the stairs to avoid walking in front of his door. If I did walk in front of his door I always had to record it on my phone just in case something happened. I didn't feel safe. Finally, after 2 years of this, I decided I needed to spend the money I didn't have just to get away. This property went down hill quickly. Residents don't follow property rules. It constantly smells of weed, the pool is frequently closed due to misuse. There are much nicer, newer, safer complexes in the area. Do yourself a favor and don't rent here.
