Lived at and Loved Waterford Place for 6 Years
I lived at Waterford on Lake Natoma Drive in Folsom for just over six years and feel super lucky that I was able to stay in such a great place for so long. Some features I enjoyed especially:
• Exceptionally well-planned floor layout, maximizing the 750 sq foot space for a 1-bedroom apartment. Other apartments, townhouses, and single-family homes I’ve seen may be technically bigger but feel smaller since the space is not as well laid out as Waterford’s units. I lived in the “Vista.”
• Ample... closet and storage space, including a coat closet, kitchen cabinets and wide kitchen drawers, bonus floor-to-ceiling hallway storage and a walk-in closet in the bedroom
• Quiet in-unit washer and dyer. The appliances are silent, so you can do laundry and sleep at the same time.
• Heavy-duty secure metal front door and double-paned windows that block outside noise fairly well
• Two pools, a hot tub, a sauna, and two gyms (one for cardio, one for weights)
• Lack of annoying rules like “No Decorations.” I decorated year-round (wreaths on the door, flowers on the porch) but kept my walkway clear and never had an issue with being told to take stuff down.
• Location: Easy access to highway 50 but not so close that you get the car exhaust and noise. Restaurants, nail salons, and massage all within walking distance, not mention well-maintained sidewalks and nature trails
• Responsive maintenance staff, perhaps the biggest plus off all. From a broken lock to a leaky dishwasher, service was always competent and fast. On-staff cost-included maintenance will probably be the biggest thing that people going from Waterford to home ownership will probably miss.
In a rental world where property managers can make life rough for tenants, chose Waterford for a wonderful Folsom apartment living experience.
