Staff is Unprofessional and rude, old building masked by minimal front lobby
If you get a good apartment where everything works consider yourself lucky, if you get a bad one you're screwed. All the negative reviews are 100% true. I didn't want to believe it, I still moved it despite the reviews and man did I regret it. Every single thing written about this place is true, the roaches, the smoke alarms, the cold showers and more - but perhaps the worse of it all is the RUDE unprofessional staff. Don't expect the treatment to feel "friendly" after you sign that lease. if... anything goes wrong for you the leasing office will treat you like trash. Since they want to run this building as a "business" and not leasing company they should at least train their staff to have basic courtesy but more than anything PROFESSIONALISM. Staff is so rude, unprofessional and basically once you're in they will treat you so bad, From the top manager in charge to the permanent leasing agent that is always there. Expect their attitude to be the same one a cashier at Wallgreens would have on a bad day. Once you sign that 30 page lease where the company covers themselves from absolutely any liability, including their strong pesticide use to mask their roach infestation. You will automatically become nothing but a number and an annoying tenant to the leasing office. They will lie about everything in order to get you, the bills and utilities will be more than they say. Afterwards after get ready to pay market value for section 8 treatment. Vive LA has higher end buildings all around the city, not sure how they rest are but this one is mismanaged and they don't care. As a huge company you would expect better. Listen to the reviews. Go elsewhere.
