Poor management
DO NOT MOVE IN HERE IF YOU EXPECT YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK! As others have stated we had issues with management and maintenance when living here but my breaking point was when we went to move out. I moved in here with my girlfriend so I didn't see how the apartment looked before I moved in but I was told it was filthy, including cat food overflowing from under the dryer, a filthy fridge, dirty bathroom, and more. My girlfriend being the cleanest person I know already had the apartment as clean... as it could be when I moved in a few months later. When we went to move out we did a deep clean of the apartment, there was no paint damage, no carpet damage, everything was basically spotless, so much cleaner than what she described when she moved in. We waited about 2 months for our security deposit and when we never received it we reached out to see what was going on. We were charged $632 for cleaning fees and paint touch ups, absolutely no photos or reasonable explanation included to explain these charges. Our deposit was $500 so this charge went $132 over, this amount was sent to collections without us being contacted about it. No phone call, no email, just a letter that was apparently sent but never reached us. I'm sure they do this because going through the court system for this amount is more trouble than it's worth for a lot of people but these charges were complete BS and I would recommend living anywhere else. Read the other comments, this is not an isolated incident. If you want to make things right return our security deposit.

We strive to be transparent about our move out processes, including the potential charges that can be assessed from the security deposit at final... accounting. We do not have notes in your file for the condition of your home at move in and we regret that we did not have the opportunity to rectify any cleaning needs. In general, homes need to be returned in move in ready condition to avoid cleaning charges and painting charges. We deduct the cost of carpet cleaning per the recommendation of our professional carpet vendor for the next resident and these costs are reviewed in the move in paperwork as well as the notice confirmation packet. Additionally, final utilities can be deducted from the security deposit as well if not paid for at move out.
We understand that you have already spoken to our property manager for questions regarding your final charges. If there is additional clarification we can provide that you did not feel that our property manager addressed we welcome you to contact your previous community's portfolio manager by phone at your earliest convenience.
