Overall, I highly recommend Cherry Orchard.

I normally don't write many reviews, but as I just renewed my lease at Cherry Orchard for the third time, I wanted to share my experience.

I truly love living here. While no property is perfect and issues do occasionally come up, they are always handled with professionalism and respect. The office team is very responsive and communicates effectively. Additionally, the landscaping is amazing, providing a peaceful outdoor space, and the proximity to neighboring retail and downtown is a major plus… .

My only constructive feedback is regarding the volume of property projects. It would be helpful if these were spread out a bit more, as the frequent entry into our apartments can feel disruptive, even though I understand the goal is to improve the community.

Overall, I highly recommend Cherry Orchard.

Cherry Orchard Apartments

I have had experience with renting from Irvine Company before and I have had various experiences as it is usually based on the staff for that particular site. Cherry Orchard is one of the better places of the couple of places I have rented. The main reason I chose this place (I also really liked Stewart Village) was based on local and safety (gated with a night watchman) as I am single and live alone with my two dogs.

I have a basic 2 bedroom on a second floor by the stairs and I have the… sound of a pretty water fountain throughout the day. The apartment itself has you typical cooperate housing features including Whirlpool appliances (gas oven/stove top) and granite counter tops. If I were to remodel a home I would not choose the particular furnishings but they look nice enough as I was in a pinch to find a safe place to live. The bathrooms are the same idea and the shower is nothing fancy but easy to keep clean. One thing I could not find anywhere was an apartment with a decent patio so that was my only pet peeve and it is not isolated to just this place.

There is a very nice public park with two dog parks across the street and you are in walking distance to many little shops and restaurants (I routinely walk to Trader Joe's next door to get my groceries and for the supermarket I have a Safeway a little further). Downtown Sunnyvale and Mountain View are handy and close by via car drive. The area is not the hipster part of Long Beach that I used to know but for safety, proximity to my job at a local teaching hospital, and access to surrounding business it's just fine.

Small dog friendly community

Cherry Orchard apartments are a diamond in the rough. It's a small community compared to most properties, which we love. The landscaping makes us feel like we live at a resort. This property is tucked away in the heart of town with Starbucks, Trader Joes and many other retailers I walking distance. What sold us on this apartment was how dog friendly they are. It seems everyone owns a dog and they have a private dog park! We never hear dogs barking or causing a disruption. This is literally the… best apartment we toured. All the units are updated with beautiful finishes including granite and in unit laundry. We are so happy here and don't plan on leaving any time soon. We have everything we could ever ask for.
