Rats. Poor management, leasing office, and maintenance.
I want to preface this by saying I really, really wanted to like this building. The positive thing about living here is definitely the location, living so close to the Alethia Tanner Park and MBT has been amazing. The negative thing about living in this building, is living in this building. From the start, I've had bad experiences with the leasing office and maintenance related to poor communication, poor customer service and overall lack of concern. The package room is very poorly managed, they... advertise "package concierge" on the website, which is an absolute joke. They do not use the lockers. The package room is a room full of unsecured packages, that sometimes sit on the front desk unattended. I've had multiple packages get lost (INCLUDING MY LITERAL MATTRESS), and have heard from others that packages frequently go missing. They don't send out consistent emails when you get a package, someone literally texts you from their iPhone to "come retrieve your package immediately!!!", and sometimes I get this text for packages I've already picked up. The building constantly smells like cigarettes. On the weekends the entire hallway smells like tobacco and smoke. The smell started to seep into my apartment, concentrating in the washer and dryer, and all of the vents. I notified maintenance about this because I have asthma, and after initially denying that they smell anything, the most they did was send out an all building email, which did nothing to solve the issue. Not only that, the row of apartments next door stores their trashcans right outside my window (literally touching the building), so my view from living room window is typically people throwing away garbage, or garbage trucks. They don't tell you the second floor is actually first floor level because the first floor is partially underground. Speaking of, there are rats all around the outside of the Weiler building every night. The trash room on my floor is always out of order, so people pile trash bags in there causing the whole floor to stink. Is that what I pay $20 every month for? The doors, walls, and cabinets are made with really cheap materials. And lastly, my washer has been completely out of service for a week now. I spoke with Marcus, the maintenance head and he actually hung up in my face. In summary, I really want to enjoy living here but it seems like it's always a constant struggle between maintenance, the leasing office, and the rats that live around the building.
