South Bay Club

This building has terrible management. The workers in the management office are extremely unfriendly and unhelpful, but they're the ones you need for any necessary repairs; good luck with that - they make you jump through hoops if you need a plumber, and you have a pay a fee because the units don't have separate water shutoffs so you'll be paying a fee to supply water to the entire stack of units. Some staff are friendly (ie. convenience store), but the majority of the staff at the front desk... and management office act like prison guards just here to enforce rules. We've decided the pool deck and the view are NOT worth the headache of having to deal with this association. I hope the board takes a hard look at the people they pay ALOT of money to manage this building, and consider making some changes. Lee mas

Beautiful location, close to highway. Walking to distance to all supermarkets and nightlife.

Good location, close to highway, beautiful views of bay and ocean. Poolside bay views, underground parking, grocery store in lobby!

I have a wonderful landlord and a big one-bedroom that has no problems, but the building itself is a huge drawback. I've lived in the building for over 10 years, and the swimming pool has been closed for over 4 years due to many construction delays, mishaps and mismanagement. The building is on its third management company in as many years, presumably at considerable cost to unit owners, yet the quality of life has suffered significantly under these companies. Residents are now basically under... surveillance by "security" guards and "concierges" whose only job is to enforce rules, not assist residents. Fees for residents also have increased substantially. Rents also have increased amid the many, many construction projects in the building, even as access to amenities has decreased. It's a great location and it started out as a great building for me, but I'd think twice if I were looking at it now. Lee mas
