La Joya Apartments

I MOVED HERE WHEN THE APARTMENTS FIRST OPENED EVERYTHING SUCKED THERE WAS NO MAINTENANCE PEOPLE THE WATER SYSTEM THEY HAVE IS TERRIBLE????????AND NOT TO MENTION THE GUN SHOTS EVERY NIGHT??????I MOVED OUT A YEAR AGO WHEN MY LEASE WAS UP AND NOW I HAVE A CHARGE ON MY CREDIT SCORE FROM THEM STATING IT WAS FOR CARPET CLEANING AND INSTALLATION THE APARTMENT DIDNT HAVE ANY CARPET????????

I have lived in La Joya Since it was built! I’ve been here for 3 Years now ! Thank God I’m moving in one month. First of all , maintenace ? No maintenance no emergency maintenance at all!! If something breaks after hours or even on a Friday you are screwed until they reopen the office again . The pool is just for show its always under maintenace and I have only seen it in used like five times in the whole 3 years I’ve been here. Mind you the pool hours are just like the office hours 9am to 6 pm... and 99.9% of the times is closed! And it does not open during the weekends or holidays! The gym! That’s if you can call that a gym ! It literally has 2 machines that’s all... when we first moved in they said they ordered new machines ... that was 3 years ago... the staff is always complaining about the owner. When you tell them that something broke their response is “oh yea the owner used cheap material so that is prompt to happen” ?? like seriously . The staff I literally know all the 20 people have gotten fired there for some reason they never last. My apartment got mold because when the apartment was done the people that construct it failed to seal a window properly and within time my apartment got full of mold . And their response was clean it with Clorox. It took me getting a lawyer for them to do something. The AC broke the first time we moved in and all they do is patch it up and it continues to break every month. The water system is something called IUSA at the beginning i would pay about $13-$15 monthly and out of a sudden it went up to $30-$40 their response you might be taking to many bubble baths! Like seriously what kind of crap is that??? Oh and to top it all of we have firework all year long... meaning gunshots every day! It’s a normal thing in la joya!! And be prepared to fix your car windows and tires as they break in and vandalized the vehicles daily.... So yea they might look nice but it’s really not worth it. Lee mas

I have lived here over a year now. These apartments are affordable but very disappointing. The 2 bedroom apartments has no storage closet. The gym is only equipped with 4 equipment (a treadmill, an elliptical which is broken, a bowflex machine and a bench). The pool was closed almost for the entire summer holiday. The playground is super small only 2 small kids can use it at a time and it is right next to the main road. We are not allowed wifi access in the clubhouse or the gym. The office is... closed on the weekends. The gym is only accessible when the office is open, hence, only on weekdays 9am- 6pm excluding when the person os on lunch break. Apart from the affordability, another great thing about the apartments is the mentenance. Lee mas

I not comfortable I have a had cap unit. I'm not handicap got this apartment because I there where no more left. I had gotten approved so..... it was a big mess
