Holabird East Apartments

Moved here in March 2022. Walls were paper thin and neighbors loud after midnight when I had to work early. When I complained manager Debbie told me I was lying. So I recorded it and sent that to her. She, in turn, incited the situation by FORWARDING that recording to the loud neighbors who showed up drunk and threatened me for "having invaded their privacy." (though every rental agreement contains an implied covenant of quiet enjoyment, Holabird would only write letters but never take action... to enforce that). I moved to another unit away from those threatening neighbors, (with zero help from them to pay for moving expenses and hassle) (Debbie acted as if she was doing me a favor! hahaahaha!) and was greeted with roaches. Like constantly. When I complained, they blamed paper bags, instead of just spending the money on a proper exterminator and dealing with it. Debbie sent maintenance who reached up on my frig and sprayed my can of raid. The only relief I got for roaches was self-help. I bought roach baits and put them all over the buiding and gave them to all of my neighbors. Later, Holabird staff accidently hit my car with maintenance vehicle and, guess what? Debbie again made it my problem. Finally: though with 3 months notice to vacate and leaving the place pristine, they denied rental deposit, under premise I was on a year lease expiring out of whack with when I moved in, though verbally had confirmed time and again, after 2 1/2 years I was on month-to-month. Avoid this place unless you want to go a little mental. Or unless you are a friend to roaches. Shortly before I left there was a fire adjacent to my building. I was sorry for my neighbor tenants, but it seems like Debbie has some serious bad Karma. After a tornado and a fire, you never know what the universe will bring next to this sad establishment. My rent is never late, I’ve never called any issues here. However, you cannot get the bare basics. The buildings are filthy. The office managers are horrific in attitude and actions. You can not get through by phone EVER. They purposely leave the voicemail full. I am very clean as a single women. That has made NO difference, there is a constant infestation of Mice, Roaches and recently a large snake. They have no care for the quality of life of their tenets. AVOID

I have lived there for from 2012 up until 2016, I moved the maintenance is terrible they have bed bugs too much drug traffic, this is not a place for children to live. When you pay your rent two weeks later they will say you never paid. Please don't get a place there.

I've been here 9 yrs. now! pet friendly, pool in commity, laundry ficilies in every unit. bus line at corner. 4 star restaurants, medical ficilies, and markets with-in walking distance!
