Everyone in leasing office is kind and helpful and I just love it here! Great amenities, great location and you get your moneys worth. 10/10 I recommend!

STAY AWAY FROM THE MONTGOMERY

I've lived here for three years. Let me warn you:

- the leasing office ignores 99% of all emails I send them
- I have been woken up to a member of the maintenance team entering my apartment without my knowledge or consent for a non-emergent issue
- garbage problems - people leave bags and boxes of trash on the ground in front of the dumpster so it isn’t even accessible; nothing is ever done about this
- house centipedes - GARGANTUAN
- stained and odorous hallway carpeting
- thin walls; upstairs...
neighbors stomp around loudly as early as 5 AM; leasing office of course couldn't care less

I have had leaks and flooding issues from the upstairs neighbors for OVER A YEARS! In 2024, my apartment was flooded from the upstairs unit, whose entire laundry cycle water flooded down into my apartment. I called the office and was told someone would come right away. 30 minutes later, nothing. I called back to the office and got some exceedingly rude attitude from another staff member, who said she'd 'not heard anything about it' and would send someone out. I will say, the maintenance workers are always very knowledgeable and quick to fix issues/problems.

Multiple leak instances have occurred after this.

The leak is once again back - this time for OVER A WEEK while I was out of the country, still going - damaging my apartment, damaging my clothing and towels, probably developing black mold. I'm unable to use my laundry machines because the leak is above them. Surprise, surprise - the leasing office continues to ignore my emails!

THE CONVENIENT LOCATION OF THIS APARTMENT IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE. RUN.

STAY AWAY

Living at The Montgomery Apartments has been frustrating due to issues with utilities, deliveries, parking, smoking, noise, safety, theft, and maintenance.

Utility Billing Issues:
Despite being a single occupant, my water bills are unreasonably high, often in the hundreds of dollars. Management reviewed only three months, ignoring prior discrepancies.

Non-Functional Call Box:
The call box has been out of service for months, leading to missed deliveries and unsecured packages. Management blamed...
power surges, but the call box wasn’t working before the outage.

Smoking at Building Entrances:
Frequent smoking near buildings creates an unpleasant experience for residents and guests. I regularly pass through nicotine and marijuana smoke while walking my dogs. Smoke also permeates the building, impacting comfort.

Noise Issues & Thin Ceilings:
Ceilings are paper-thin, amplifying every sound. Loud intimate noises from the apartment above and stomping disrupt my peace and scare my dogs. The poor soundproofing makes privacy impossible.

Concerns About Community Safety:
Questionable individuals are often on the property. Recently, police tased a person outside my building after a loud 30-minute incident, leaving blood on the sidewalk. Their shouting was heard across the complex. My upstairs neighbor then laughed hysterically, further disrupting the peace. These incidents raise serious safety concerns.

Package Theft & Car Break-Ins:
Package theft and car break-ins are common. The lack of security makes tenants feel unsafe and highlights management’s failure to address these problems.

Dirty Hallways & Poor Maintenance:
Hallway carpets are filthy, and there’s a persistent odor. The poor upkeep is embarrassing and discourages me from inviting guests.

Overall Experience:
Living here involves overpaying for utilities, dealing with unreliable deliveries, restrictive parking policies, secondhand smoke, excessive noise, safety concerns, and poorly maintained spaces. Management is reactive rather than proactive in addressing these issues.

If you’re considering living here, be prepared for challenges with utilities, building access, security, parking, noise, and maintenance. I hope management improves these conditions for current and future residents.

We get the call boxes fixed as soon as we’re made aware of the issue and have since given multiple... credits to help with utilities. I don't recommend moving here

we lived in these apartments for almost a year. I’ll start with the fact that upon moving in, it was discovered that the carpets in the apartment stank of dog and there was dog hair, pills, and nails everywhere. to which we were assured that new carpets had been laid in front of us. Well, how can you lie like that? Then our stay was constantly disturbed by insects that climbed out of all the cracks of the apartment, ants, centipedes the size of half a palm, spiders!!! be prepared for them when... you move here. no one fights them, only on my own; in a year I changed about 50 insect traps around the apartment. a nightmare !!! Then winter came. and it was impossibly cold in the apartment (and we lived with a small child), the workers threw up their hands - the sly one couldn’t cope with such an area and couldn’t help. There was a draft blowing from all the windows. the next sad moment is noise insulation, neighbors walking with dogs under your windows, which are already barking at 6 in the morning, although there is a place for walking dogs. no one respects anyone!!! The blinds and toilet in the apartment are broken, they treat everything negligently. We left after 11 months - my husband started having problems at work and we had to move out a month ahead of schedule. in the end, no one made concessions, although the agreement does not indicate a word about early departure. We were given a double fine! We always paid everything on time! The result is the same - people have no heart.

I can assure you we have protocols in place for any maintenance issues and pest control. We... were unaware that you had any theft from your vehicle and would have recommended contacting the police to file a report, in which we would have fully cooperated with the police, should they need any information from us. Unfortunately, when leaving an apartment prior to the lease end date, there are penalties as stated in the lease agreement, as well as providing a 60 day notice to vacate. Lived here 8 years, now needs to be updated.

I was happy here and did feel safe. Here are pros and cons:
Pros:
*Safe
*Garage - per car $75
*Location - next to 270 and 495

Cons:
*Water bill - per lease contract billed is by usage BUT not the case. In fact billed by whole community. My water meter remained broken and never fixed despite requests for months. Note a 2 bedroom /2 bath regardless of usage/rate every month was $130.00 for water.
* Water to drink - September 2023 the apt did something to the water system and the water is...
undrinkable. Tastes disguesting.
*Old - needs to be remodled; A/C, water meter, toilets were breaking down.
*Floor - I was on 1st floor and I heard every step everyday upstairs.

Pray another management company takes over and redoes everything.
