Bonita Gardens Apartments

This is a case of kindness and human decency.Regardless of a person past, if you don't like a person, there is a sense of responsibility professional courtesy. The property manager had utilities cut off in the middle of the day in 100 degree weather in my elderly parents unit. People are dying of heat strokes! My parents moved in late March, I heard my mom ask personally, about getting utilities switched over in their name. The manager kept saying "they alright". Last week manager asked for... $150.00. That's fine, but I told my parents before they pay get an itemize bill when my parents asked for that things turned for the worse.
I requested to speak to the corporate office. The manager had owner call me. I was driving and could not talk. I politely asked if we can talk later. I had my son and grandchild in the car. He was very hostile and said I can put phone on speaker and talk to him now he don't want to talk later. He said I don't know what my parents background and they will be filing eviction and he suggested i talk to my parents. I said it's not about what they possibly did this is about professional courtesy and I would really like to have a polite conversation. He cut me off again and said you need to talk to them. I couldn't believe it I reiterate I didn't feel safe talking on the phone at the moment and can we talk later. He said he want be available I said it didn't have to be today. He said no he can talk now. I said ok. Since we can't talk later I will look into getting a lawyer and filing a complaint. He said again they will be evicting my parents. I said thank you for the information and have a great day! I will be filing a formal complaint. All I was looking for was a conversation to try and understand why after months of asking about utilities the property manager could not give one more day to get the lights transferred. Even if you don't like a person, upset with them or maybe the tenants broke the rules (not that my parents did).You will allow the elderly go with out air in 100 degree weather because you mad? You don't have a heart? If you are mad be mad at me. I told them to ask for bill. They should see what they are paying for. I asked them to get the number to the utilities company so they can make the payment and switch to their name. After all that my dad still gave the $150.00 in a money order. And the manager had the utilities disconnected without giving information to have utilities switched over. This is hurtful. Lee mas
