Safety is an issue/ High crime area
These apartments are not safe and if you have a car that’s even a little nice you should find somewhere else to live. I have been on this property for about 2 years. A sheriff lived here on my side (smaller side) of the property for the first part and months after he left all 4 wheels were stolen from my car. I don’t care if it’s common, I want to know if it could have been prevented? After talking to neighbors a vehicle was also broken into in the same parking lot at a different time. The... security cameras at the front of the property might as well be for show as the images are so grainy they can’t even read a license plate. A letter omitting blame and pressuring residents to be “vigilant” was sent out immediately after. There is now a “new” camera up after the incident but there are ZERO cameras at the exit so truly nothing has been done. All kinds of cars without parking stickers are parked here over the weekend while the office is closed, and since they don’t tow everyone continues to do it. So if you get home late, you can’t even park where the cameras are which makes you a potential victim. Who knows what the security is like on the larger side because someone’s wheels were also taken over there. Worst of all is you need an entry code and an exit code and the thieves had both. Are you really going to park here? Not to mention on the street where all the extra cars park? I asked to be let out of my lease to opt for apartments that offer a car garage to protect myself and was denied stating “Regarding your request to end your lease early, we must follow the terms of the lease agreement, which does not allow for early termination without the required fees. That said, if you would like to discuss the option of the formal early-termination process, I am happy to provide those details.” So on top of that, even with a tragedy they’re cold and unwilling to work with you so it doesn’t happen again because their investment matters more. Make sure you have good insurance and then make sure you choose somewhere else to live.
