Poor Experience
We moved into our apartment just one day ago — on Saturday — and what should have been an exciting moment turned into an absolute nightmare.
To our shock, the AC was not working. The leasing office was fully aware of our move-in date, yet the unit was clearly not ready at all. It was over 90°F on Saturday and 104°F on Sunday. We had small kids with us, and the heat inside the apartment was unbearable.
We immediately raised a maintenance request, and when the technician came, he filled the AC... with gas — something that should’ve been done well before we moved in. How can you expect a family to move into a unit without even checking if the AC works, especially in this Texas heat?
He told us to wait 2–3 hours for it to cool — but even after 4 hours, not a single degree went down. When we called him again, he just said, "I can’t do anything else." That was it.
We were exhausted, drenched in sweat, and frustrated beyond words. The kids were irritated and uncomfortable. We had to sit through the whole evening in suffocating heat with no relief. Eventually, they gave us portable AC units only for the bedrooms — but the living room and kitchen felt like a furnace. We literally couldn’t breathe in those areas.
On top of that, one of the showers only gives hot water, and the technician refused to fix it until Monday. We couldn’t even take a proper shower after an exhausting day.
What hurts the most is that we had asked if we could check the apartment a day before move-in, but the leasing agent refused and said we couldn’t access it. If we had been allowed, we might’ve discovered these issues earlier — and not spent our first weekend in misery.
This entire experience has been stressful, physically draining, and deeply disappointing. A family deserves better on day one.
