Horrible. Run!!!!
Unfortunately, my experience with Westing Properties has been extremely disappointing and stressful. Their handling of a serious water damage situation in my apartment showed a clear lack of communication, accountability, and urgency.
After a sprinkler broke and caused significant water intrusion, I immediately reported the issue. Instead of properly addressing the situation, I received conflicting information from different staff members. At one point, I was told demolition would be done, but... when maintenance arrived, they said the wall only needed to “dry a little” and be repainted — completely minimizing the severity of the issue.
Later that same evening, the water began coming in even worse. It entered through the window frame, ran through the wall, and pooled on the vinyl flooring inside my apartment. This clearly showed that the problem had not been properly assessed or resolved. Despite repeatedly communicating my concerns, it felt like what I was saying was ignored, and the lack of action only made the damage worse.
The overall response was unprofessional and poorly managed. There was no clear plan, no urgency, and no accountability. As a tenant, it’s extremely frustrating and disappointing to feel unheard while dealing with a situation that affects health, safety, and personal property.
I would not recommend Westing Properties based on this experience. Issues of this magnitude require prompt, knowledgeable, and respectful handling — none of which were provided.
