Harlan at Med Center

I moved in around November 2025. During the initial walkthrough, I noted a few minor issues: two outlets didn’t work, the washer was missing a couple of wheels, and the patio door blinds weren’t secure. Nothing major at the time. I moved into the apartment about two weeks after the walkthrough.

Shortly after moving in, I went to take a shower and discovered there was no hot water. I called emergency maintenance, but they stated it was not an emergency. While investigating further, I noticed... that the hot water shutoff valve under the kitchen sink was broken and could not be turned off, and all of the faucets were leaking. The hot water was eventually fixed after two days, but none of the other issues have been addressed.

I ended up replacing the faulty outlets myself because they were producing low voltage and were unsafe. The dryer does not work properly and requires running three cycles just to dry clothes. I also recently found out that the A/C does not work, and despite submitting a request, I never received a call back from maintenance.

To make matters worse, I had a package stolen from my front door. The complex has signs advertising “new management,” but that has not made any difference in responsiveness or quality of living. I have been waiting over a month for multiple repairs with no action taken.

They also advertise a gym, but it is not functional. One treadmill does not work at all, and the other has a loose belt that nearly caused me to roll my ankle. Additionally, I reported leaks under the bathroom sink over a month ago, and because nothing was fixed, mold has now developed.

I will keep this review updated, but as of now, this has been a terrible place to live. Thankfully, I signed a short-term lease and will definitely not be renewing. Lee mas

I've been here going on 3 years. Valiant management has absolutely made a difference. I love living here now. They are dedicated to addressing and resolving every issue residents are concerned with.

I highly recommend this property for anyone looking fir a beautiful, peaceful, safe and affordable place to live in the Medical Center area.

Wish I could leave no stars at all. I’ve lived here for 4 years now and never had any problems until recently. The current office staff are the most unprofessional, lazy and inconsiderate staff I’ve ever dealt with since living here. I was without lights or electric in my living room and kitchen for 23 days. I had to reroute my tv and WiFi routing system into my bedroom just to enjoy a small section of my apartment. They told me 3+ times the issue was fixed to come home and nothing was done at... all??? I couldn’t use my main living spaces for almost a month up until I finally found a corporate email online and included them in an email. Only then was my work order taken seriously. I’ve worked in the apartment industry for 6+ years and have never experienced a more unprofessional manager. I would’ve never treated a resident the way I’ve been treated and neglected. The current manager does not email back for 24+ hours and doesn’t reply to emails until corporate is involved. Corporate never reached out either after emailing them several times so GVA doesn’t even care about their residents, clearly. If you have an emergency work order plan on waiting a month for it to actually be fixed or if you do, be sure to involve corporate because that’s the only way it will actually get done. This whole complex has went downhill ever since GVA took over a couple years ago. I can say after 4 years I will gladly be moving out of this place with a smile on my face!! This place is a joke, 10/10 don’t recommend!!! Oh and just wait for typical response to this review acting like they really care!!! Lol. I’ll be sure to leave this complaint on all platforms along with a report the BBB. Lee mas
