The complex of the Lofts, House and Bank includes the former home of the Richmond Beneficial Life Insurance Co., the first for Richmond's African-American community, and an adjacent bank that served the life insurance company and its employees. Originally known as 2nd Street Bank, by 1930 it was part of the banking group headed by Maggie Walker. Respecting how these facilities helped shaped Richmond's early growth, our team put great effort into protecting unique architectural elements and introduced the latest amenities that allow you to add your chapter to the stories of these properties. Most importantly most utilities are included! That's right - Water, sewer, trash, internet & cable TV.
