Broadway Apartments

I have lived here for 3 and a half years. Rent includes electric, gas, heat, water and garbage removal. This is an old beautiful building kept in excellent repair with steps and an elevator with 4 floors. The heat is the old radiator type but the pressure, old boiler type furnace is removed with a gas fired one. All the windows are new and modern double pane with screens. The building is kept in period except for when repairs neccesitate an upgrade. Each floor has Edwardian... furniture and old time chandeliers in the hallways for sitting and reading if you like. On site laundry facilities. If you don't want to hear people walking above you get an apartment on the 4th floor. The building is 3rd Street and Broadway, so it elevated much above the downtown area in the case of a major flood. The parking situation is difficult. 34 apartments and only 15 spaces in the lot, first come, first serve, everyone else must find a spot on the street, even the on-site manager. There are only 15 spaces adjacent to the building or directly across the street. Because bus service and downtown is only 4 blocks away is so close I decided to live for the first time in my life without a car. I have rented and I have owned my own home. I am retired now and enjoy living here more than anywhere I rented. The place is kept clean and good repair. I have had no issues at all the entire time I have been here. Manager and repair people are friendly, courteous, professional and neat. I don't think there is any other place in the entire area that offers the advantages and featuures of the Broadway Apartments. Lee mas
