False Advertising and Misleading Pricing/ Worst Leasing Office/ Touring Experience
I had one of the most frustrating leasing experiences I’ve ever dealt with!
Over the course of a week, I called the leasing office 7–8 times and never once got through to an actual agent on site. Every single time, I was routed to a call center where I was told they would “leave a note” and have someone call me back — which never happened. Not once.
After multiple failed attempts to schedule an appointment, I was encouraged to just walk in. I was even assured they accept walk-ins and told I... could be added to a 4:00 PM availability.
I showed up first thing in the morning, only to be told there was no record of me on any list. They said they would “add me now” and asked me to come back at 4 PM.
I returned at 4 PM as instructed… and was then told the leasing agent was on a call and couldn’t meet with me. After insisting, I was handed a self-guided tour and a few brochures. When the agent finally spoke to me — for maybe 2 minutes — there was no apology, just rushed, vague answers before she disappeared again, mentioning she was the only one working.
At that point, I left with more confusion than clarity. I almost submitted an application, but thankfully paused when I realized I still didn’t have clear information on pricing or fees.
And here’s the biggest issue: the pricing is incredibly misleading.
The “8–10 weeks free” promotion is not what it sounds like. It’s applied to reduce the first couple of months’ rent, making it look like you’re getting a great deal — but your rent significantly increases shortly after. The pricing shown online and even in quotes does not reflect what you’ll actually be paying long-term.
It feels intentionally confusing and deceptive.
I’ve toured over 15 properties, and this was by far the worst experience — worst communication, worst follow-up (or lack thereof), and the most misleading pricing structure I’ve encountered.
I truly feel like I dodged a bullet here. Be very, very careful.
Do yourself a favor and save yourself from this headache. I wish I read a review like this before driving from across state for this!

I am so sorry to hear about the incredibly frustrating leasing experience you had with us. It’s clear from your review that we fell far short of providing the clear and helpful service you deserve, and I truly regret the significant amount of time... and effort you invested only to be met with such a disappointing outcome.
I understand how disheartening it must have been to call multiple times and not get through to our on-site team, only to have promises of callbacks go unfulfilled. The fact that you were encouraged to walk in, assured of availability, and then had no record of your visit is unacceptable. It’s also deeply disappointing that upon your return, you were met with further delays and a rushed, unhelpful interaction instead of the dedicated assistance you were expecting. I can only imagine how confusing and frustrating it was to leave with more questions than answers, especially after traveling from out of state.
Furthermore, I sincerely apologize that our pricing structure and promotions were not communicated clearly to you. It was never my intention for the "8-10 weeks free" offer to be perceived as misleading, and I understand how the way it was presented could lead to confusion and a feeling of being misled about the long-term costs.
I am taking your feedback very seriously. Your experience highlights significant areas where I need to improve my communication, follow-up processes, and transparency regarding my pricing. I am committed to ensuring that all prospective residents have a positive and informative experience, and I clearly missed the mark during your visit.
If you would be willing to discuss this further, please reach out to me directly at tthurman@alexanon8thapartments.com. I would appreciate the opportunity to understand your experience in more detail and to see if there is anything I can do to make amends.
