Unprofessional and miss leading leasing team.
I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with Emmi Midtown during the leasing/application process.
I was working with Jasmine, who offered me an apartment that was presented as available and that met my needs. Based on the information provided by the leasing office, I moved forward with the full application process and paid the required application-related fees. After completing the process, I was later told that the unit was not actually available for lease.
This was extremely... frustrating because I was on a strict timeline to move, and I relied on the information given to me by their team. Not only did this waste valuable time during an already stressful moving process, but it also caused me to lose money on application-related charges that I would have never paid had I been given accurate information from the beginning.
When I followed up with management, including Imani Williams, the response lacked accountability. They refunded only part of the fees and refused to take responsibility for the additional screening fee, even though I only paid that fee because their team encouraged me to apply for a unit that was not actually available.
The entire experience felt misleading, careless, and very poorly handled. Prospective residents should be able to trust that the leasing office is providing accurate information before asking them to spend money and submit applications.
I would strongly caution anyone considering applying here to confirm everything in writing before paying any fees. This experience showed a serious lack of professionalism, transparency, communication, and accountability from both the leasing office and management.
