From Dream Apartment to Red-Flag Relationship: Living at Marchon Apartments (March 2022–June 2025

I moved into the newly built Marchon Apartments in March 2022 as one of the first residents, and at the start, it really felt like a dream. The front desk staff were amazing, move-in was smooth, and the community energy was great. I could hop on MARTA easily, my unit overlooked the cemetery (quiet neighbors, at least), and for the first six months, it was everything I hoped for.

Then reality hit. The rotating door of management began, emails and calls went unanswered, and the fire alarms...
turned into a personality trait of the building. The pool that once felt luxurious turned into a cloudy science experiment, and the gym water fountain was out for months. No notice, of course. Community events stopped, but hey, the rent didn’t.

It also got loud and unsafe. Fights, thefts, break-ins, even shootings. Things went downhill fast. And when it came time to move out, the disorganization hit a new level. They *lost my keys*, claimed I hadn’t turned them in, charged me an extra month’s rent, admitted the error, promised to fix it…and still sent me to collections. It took five months (and way too many emails) to fix something that should’ve taken five minutes.

I genuinely wanted to love Marchon (and I did, for a while) but this place went from promising community to complete chaos. I’ll give credit where it’s due: the new staff seem more competent, and maybe they’ll turn it around. But based on what I went through, living here felt like being in a long-term relationship with red flags you keep ignoring until it’s way too late.

Love the area and community. Resturants, bars, gyms and a swimmimg pool nearby.

Barbershops and GA State University are all close. Very enjoyable area.
