My experience at Verela has been very disappointing since the change in ownership and property management. The leasing office is unresponsive, and property management lacks a sense of urgency when residents report concerns.
One of the biggest frustrations is the ongoing gate issues. The gates are frequently broken, creating inconvenience and security concerns for residents. It is also unclear why some residents have access to side gates while others are forced to drive through the entire... property to enter or exit.
Additionally, the overall condition of the property has noticeably declined. Breezeways are often dirty and poorly maintained, which negatively impacts the appearance and cleanliness of the community.
Unfortunately, the level of service and maintenance does not reflect what residents should expect from a professionally managed property. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements to resident communication, property upkeep, and security. Read More

I was living here before new management took over. Old management was very responsive. New management does not respond to emails nor phone calls and will ignore you in person. I love my unit so much that instead of leaving I decided to transfer after a phone call from management asking me to stay. I was told I would receive a free month rent, the same price and rent, in a free transfer fee. The free transfer fee fee was due to the above tenant in my last apartment setting a fire on their patio.... I reached out and let management know I was not interested in renewing my lease and they beg for me to stay. Once I was transferred management pulled a bait and switch. They did not do anything. They said they would. It has been almost a month and I am still waiting on charges to be addressed. Jordan the property manager does not respond to tenants. She is the one that called yet. I have not heard from her since. This is with repeated phone calls and emails as well as in person visits. So this is a great place to call home only if you don’t need the property management. Please refrain from forming an opinion about these apartments based solely on their appearance. As a long-standing resident, I can assure you that the living environment is not satisfactory. One of my neighbors consistently leaves trash on the ground, which remains uncollected for days, creating an unsightly and embarrassing situation, and smoking in the breezeway and dumping ashes on the steps is unacceptable, especially given the breezeway's already poor condition. Additionally, I recently... experienced a concerning incident where a young lady was standing extremely close to my door, which has compromised my sense of safety, although she made a conscious effort to avoid the ring camera. I am looking forward to exploring alternative options once my lease expires. I am extremely dissatisfied with the living conditions and would consider terminating my lease prematurely if financially viable.

This community is so cheaply built that I can hear everything and the neighbors above me are the worst when it comes to stomping, jumping, banging, all type of noises you can think of. I emailed the front office and was completely ignored, I spoke to one of the team members face to face and was told they were going to look into it, still nothing, I then called and spoke with someone who practically told me there’s nothing she can do about it unless it’s after hours smh.
