I like it but wish there was more to make me love it.
No one has written a review so far so I guess I will be the first. I haven't been living here a year yet but so far so good. No apartment or apartment building is perfect even one that is newly renovated. Considering it is a historical building in downtown Davenport I think it has exceeded my expectations in some areas but in the areas where it hasn't they aren't major deal breakers. I can't speak for other floors but mine is quiet. I don't hear my neighbors other than doors closing when... neighbors come and go and the occasion dog barking but nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe I just have good neighbors but I haven't heard anything to complain about. The hallways are always clean even after a fire on another floor management had Servpro out within 24 hours for clean up and they remained on site for a couple weeks with equipment to remove moisture and dry out everything that was affected from the sprinklers going off. Maintenance is awesome every concern I've notified them about is addressed promptly. No issues with the property management team. There are no additional amenities no work out room/gym, no business center, no storage, no green space, no club house or meeting room space. With the planned redevelopment projects coming to downtown Davenport to draw professionals and hipsters I would have expected more modern considerations even with the restored historical look of the building's lobby and the Capital Theater which is still ongoing. However Kahl Lofts Apartments so far is a good fit for clean modern apartments with decent property management in a downtown semi urban setting. It's close to downtown entertainment, cafes, bars, restaurants, etc. Citibus main bus terminal plus Greyhound/Trailways. No frills or extras, but I'm content. I doubt I will be leaving any time soon. I like it here.
