Favorite apartment ever

Unique original charm of 1930’s that was maintained so well! It was absolutely stunning. Only thing I would change if I could have was that there was geothermal heating and not the heaters along the walls because they did become expensive in the winter and there was no ac or ac window unit in my apartment which was a studio on the 3rd floor .. but honestly I don’t think I ever even thought about getting one cuz of the direction of the apartment, it never got direct sunlight. Mine also had... original hardwood floors and the oven was a fabulous 1950’s oven that had been added maybe in the 80’s . I’m not sure but they really did a great job keeping up on the antique charm but nothing felt “old”. There also was no dishwasher but again it was a studio. There was on sight laundry and the laundry room was large and felt safe. Another cool part about the apartment that made me feel safe as an 18 year old female living alone was that you had a doorbell to you apartment in the front when you walked into the apartment complex and then you would have to go open the main door to let someone in. As well as the wall of original mailboxes with you own key.. a lot of people ride bikes or walk to work if they can so there was always parking along the apartment and you just needed your residence parking permit. I hope the same people own this building as when I lived there because they did a great job maintaining the integrity of that building and all the special charm of the 1930’s with out making it feel old. More classy and retro.
