Our generally positive experience at 111 changed in recent weeks. My partner and I were woken up at 3 a.m. by a strong chemical smell and a red indicator from our air purifier, which has a built-in sensor, signaling "very unhealthy" air quality. We reached out to staff immediately, but no one picked up the emergency line. We went to the front desk and were told elevators were being refinished. We then sent an email asking what products were being used and why this work wasn't communicated in... advance. Via email, we were told this work happens quarterly and future work would be communicated. The same smell then woke us up the following two nights -- with no warning email from staff or investigation of our floor -- and triggered our air purifier. We still haven't received an answer about products used and why they would trigger eye, nose and throat irritation. We lost many hours of sleep due to this experience and we'd now hesitate to recommend 111 to future tenants.
