Apartment Building From Hell
Congratulations you managed to make the last great part of this building leave (Jackie). She has been amazing for all residents but I can’t say the same thing about this building from hell and even worse the management.
Everything great about this building has left and we all are too once we can get out of our leases from hell.
Zero rent reduction when maybe a month out of two years living here both elevators are not working at the same time seems criminal. You can only send so many “We... appreciate your patience” and “We apologize for the inconvenience” without any REAL action behind it before it feels like you’re mocking us. Your words at this point mean nothing.
The cherry on top of everything was the “random” gas leak which again if you’re going along with the theme included zero rent reduction. Residents were left without gas or hot water for days while management was so unprepared they had to ask for help from other building maintenance in surrounding buildings. Also if it wasn’t for Jackie management would have not even known there was a problem.
Living here is a danger to your health, mental well being, and wallet (City prices for Oak Park)
Stay away from this place at ALL costs. They don’t deserve a cent of your money.

Property Manager at The Emerson responded to this review
We are truly sorry to hear about your deeply negative experience at The Emerson. It is disheartening to learn that your time with us has been so frustrating, particularly regarding the building's maintenance and management responsiveness. We... understand your disappointment with the elevator outages and the extended periods without essential services like gas and hot water, and we regret that our communications have felt insufficient. Your feedback about the gas leak incident and the reliance on Jackie for initial awareness is also concerning and has been noted. We are committed to improving, and your perspective is valuable in this process. Please reach out to us directly at theemerson@trinity-pm.com so we can discuss your concerns further.
