Eaton Place

Moving to Wichita was supposed to be exciting coming out of college, however Eaton Place did not live up to expectations. I moved in in the middle of summer. Once I moved all of my stuff in, I noticed that the apartment was a little toasty. It wasn't until later that evening when the place still did not cool down that I realized that I had moved into an apartment that did not have a working A/C unit. I immediately notified the maintenance crew only for them to take over a week to solve the… problem. Once the issue was fixed, I was spending a fortune for keep the place at a very moderate temperature nearly 80 degrees. That is because the windows are so poorly sealed, you can literally feel air running in from outside. I was willing to overlook some of these issues (there were more) because the rent was very reasonable for living in downtown. The complex has come under new management, and they are consistently raising rent by $100! If you are shopping downtown Wichita for an apartment, pay the extra money and go to any complex aside from this one. Read More

The view and neighbors are pretty great. But it’s like time is meaningless here. Being notified something will be done that day really means tomorrow. “That week” really means “that month” and so on with the hope that the residents forget. Projects that were supposed to be completed to my apartment before move in (leaky ceiling, window replacement, etc) are nearly four months behind. More than once staff let me know only minutes before making entry to the apartment, and the door was then left… unlocked until they were leaving for the day. They lied to everyone about these apartments there is a lot of noise. The neighbors are really rude and the workers and office is so disrespectful. I recommend DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!
