What senior living is supposed to be
I have been here in the new Estates at Arbor Oaks for a little over a month, and I feel privileged to be one of the first dozen or so to call it my new home. Other than visiting several other 55 locations before I walked into the front door here, I did not really know what to expect. But, after fifteen minutes here, with Tonya as my guide, I knew this was where I wanted to be.
It only took a few days before I realized that no matter what my expectations were, this was way beyond them. Every... weekday morning they provide a continental breakfast, so it only took a few mornings, and I was friends with everyone here. Then, on a Friday afternoon I found out they host a “Happy Hour” in the Bistro. They serve “adult beverages” and snacks like pizza (my favorite food), on Friday afternoons. We have had only one “Viking Game” pot luck but there on more on the calendar.
If you are looking for a place where you can immediately become a member of the “social fabric”, The Estate at Arbor Oaks is it!
Since there are less than twenty of the sixty-six units filled, the staff is a little short, but Tanya, Marcus, and Ben are doing a great job of running this brand new facility.
Grizzby (my boxer) and I love it here – it is well worth checking out.
