Not Worth It

I'm not even sure where to begin with this apartment. So I will list pros and cons.

Pros:
-Large living space, more space than we need really
-Lots of closet space, extra closet space in living room
-Nearby a shopping center with food and a Target, Walgreens, CVS
-Close enough to the highway to be convenient, but far enough to be quiet

Cons:
-The apartment is on a street that every ambulance, cop, and firetruck seems to take to get to the highway. All day and all night, sirens.
-Nearby a...
stadium of some kind? Had instances where loud music blaring from stadium at 5am (why? why 5am?) woke me up.
-Apartment is falling apart. 14 windows, 4 of them work. All fell apart within days of moving in. That's just the tip of the iceberg on all the broken things, though.
-Uncommunicative/lying/lazy property manager. Will lie to get you off his back about any complaints. Will lie about the law to avoid fixing anything.
-Was told no families/kids lived in the apartment. Literally every unit has at least one (very loud, at all times of the day) child.
-Pet policy uncertain. When we found it online it said pets welcome, now online it says pets aren't welcome. Lease said no pets, we made them add in that our pet was allowed to protect ourselves legally
-Maintenance is a joke. Living here for several months, constantly asking for things to be fixed and they only came over one time.
-Apartment was not even cleaned before we moved in! Told property manager several times when we were moving in, still was not cleaned before we got there.
-No central air unit, only a window AC built into the wall.
-Heat gets shut off in April no matter how cold it is, even though we paid for heat. When brought up we were told "bundle up."
-Parking/visitor rules not enforced. Only 6 units in this building (I believe) and yet every single night the 20 car parking lot is full with no open parking spaces. Seriously, what is that about? I shouldn't have to fight to get a parking spot at my own apartment.
-Left with no way of contacting anyone. We have the phone# of the property manager and that's it.

We moved in because the rent was affordable, it was close to work, and it was a large apartment next to a shopping center. But now, several months later, I am entirely disillusioned and disgusted with this place and the people who manage it. Only move in here if you are as desperate as I was at the time.
